Let Me Introduce Myself

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog.

I am a 34 year old divorced mom from Oklahoma. I am hoping to become a published writer sometime in the near future. I have a couple of stories that I am working on now.

I work as a teacher's aide full time. I am also attending college to get my teaching degree.I hope to be finished in two years but I'm not sure if that will happen.

I am hoping to use this blog to help me work out some issues. One of them being how to hang on to a guy, lol. I was engaged up until a week ago. It would have been my second marriage but he realized he still has feelings for his ex-wife. Maybe if I talk about some of my problems here..I can figure out what I do so wrong that I never can hold onto a man.

I have been divorced almost six yrs now (it will be in April). I have had quite a few relationships since then but this was the closest I had even came to getting married for a second time. I guess I just don't understand men..maybe I never will.

I have tried meeting men from the online dating services but it has never worked out. But I am back to trying that again..so I might post on here about some of the men I meet and how our dates go.Maybe they will give everyone a good laugh :)

Okay on to something else.

I live and work in a small town.We have a post office, two gas stations, a school, three bars, and a feed mill. We haven't had a police force in many years now. I am thankful for that because before we were a speed trap town. It does make it hard though sometimes not having one. Over the Christmas holidays, our school was vandalized and we ended up spending thousands of dollars to get everything fixed. I hate that because we could have used that money for the students.

I work in the second grade classroom. We all know that children can and will say the funniest things. A couple of week's ago, one of my male students said,"These two girls are talking about being sidekicks." Well another little boy pipes up with,"That means they can see the future." I got so tickled by it that I just burst out laughing and so did the teacher. Once we calmed down, the teacher explained the difference between "sidekicks" and "psychics" to the class.

Thanks for reading this and I will try to come on here often to add more to it. I might even get brave and post some of my stories here.
